Quality at Red Lands Roses starts in our high tech greenhouses with computerized climate management and feeding system.

Red Lands Roses is a brand associated with quality. Our ” Haute Couture” approach to producing, sorting and packaging our roses is truly unique and recognized world wide. Our traceability system guarantees the quality of each bunch leaving our farm.

Each single stem is intensively analyzed in terms of different parameters such as opening stage and bud size, shape, colour, size,strength and straightness of the stem. After sorting, the stems are bunched uniformly according to the grades. Red Lands Roses offers  export grades.

1. Export extra grade (code 1): a perfect flower

2. Export first grade (code 2): a very good flower

This advanced quality control procedure allows Red Lands Roses to ensure standard and consistent quality throughout the year, suitable to the market specification of each client.
Regular quality checks are carried out by independent flower experts in Holland, France and Japan who receive samples of flowers to check the quality standards in terms of sorting, damages, bunching and boxing to guarantee our clients the best quality product.

In addition, an efficient traceability system is in place. Every single bunch is given a number and monitored through the harvest and post harvest chain using an exclusive system of bar coding. This system has been developed in house by our IT team and consultant. This allows us to trace each stem to its greenhouse of origin, when it was harvested and to identify the buncher who prepared the flowers. A label is attached to each bunch to brand our roses and ensure you buy a genuine Red Lands Roses flower.

Once bunched, our roses are packed in a cold room using completely recyclable boxes, without glue, or staples. We offer different types of boxes adapted to clients needs and size of flowers. Boxes temperature is maintained below 5°C.

We use data loggers to monitor and record box temperature from our cold room to the final destination. Results are then sent to our clients and shipping agents for control purposes. Documents generated by Red Lands Roses clearly indicate the number of stems, price, weight and volume weight of each box.

Thanks to our IT development experts, Red Lands Roses has developed a full tracking system of bar coding for every bunch sold. Stems are carefully bunched after several bar code stickers are stamped on the packing carton (SFK) protecting the heads. The stickers describe the variety, its length, its grade, when it was harvested, the greenhouse of origin and finally the buncher’s code. All our bunches are also labelled on one stem to make sure that you buy a genuine Red Lands Roses product. The Red Lands Roses label is the guarantee of quality.
