SALES EXECUTIVE
A leading floriculture enterprise in Kiambu County is looking for a dynamic Sales Executive to support sales function and achieve its business strategy.
Reporting to: Sales Manager
Closely working with: Laterally interacts with other Sales Officers, Order Preparation and Boxing team, Post-Harvest Manager, Continuous Quality Improvement Manager, quality controllers and post-harvest supervisors, IT Manager, Production Manager, Integrated Pest Manager, Drivers, Accounts department and fellow employees in the Sales department and the company generally.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To sell flowers to the clients’ of Red Lands Roses as per the set budgets and availability, process the orders through the system, ensure all documents related to shipment for clients are implemented in time, forwarded to the shipping agents and received by the client without any claim on product or service. This role is responsible to ensure an amazing customer satisfaction feeling to the clients of Red Lands roses.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- To sell flowers optimising allocation to clients and targeting revenue optimisation among all clients. Achieve budget turnover and stem prices in Euro and Kshs.
- Flowers always packed using FIFO as a priority, destruction below budget set target. Selling the harvested flowers within less than four days in stock
- Capturing of clients orders and sending confirmation two days before departure
- Keep all statistics and reports updated for the clients’ portfolio, generate and action plan for the coming month.
- Maintain optimum communication and relation with clients
- Control weight and volume weight charged to clients by shipping agents and in case of discrepancy inform clients and shipping agents.
- Attend box quality control and weekly claim, quality meetings and inform clients of output.
- Co-ordinate with logistics office to ascertain driver’s availability and vehicle availability.
- Write monthly to the client’s portfolio to brief them on their sales trend and discuss necessary action to increase the sales volume
- Participate in the yearly price preparation for the client’s portfolio and ensure pricelist and product list are mailed to the clients portfolio latest by end of July each year. Capture the new price list in the database annually.
- Build a close relationship with the customers in your account.
KEY RESULT AREAS
- No loss, no stems destroyed because not sold
- No claim
- Flowers sold and shipped on FIFO basis latest 4 days and garden within 3 days.
- Increased turnover, turnover per stem and number of stems sold to the clients portfolio
- Increased client satisfaction
- No missed flight
- No error or delay in preparation of cold store packing lists
- Confirmation of orders done by email at least 2 days before the shipment in the morning proposing alternative varieties/lengths/grades for missing ones
- Timely follow up of delivery to the airport and confirmation of delivery or delay/change of plane to the client in writing
- Timely processing of client’s claims and credit notes authorized by the claim meeting
JOB SPECIFICATION AND OTHER INFORMATION RELATED TO THE JOB
- Qualification – BSc. in marketing or related fields
- Experience – At least a minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing
- Qualities & Skills – Thorough understanding of the flower industry standards & Quality Control Procedures, Good Communication Skills, excellent customer service skills
