JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT (RECEIVABLES)

Red Lands Roses PLC seeks to recruit a self-driven and result oriented candidate to fill the role of a Junior Accountant

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer,the job holder will be responsible for the following;

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Prepare monthly by 10th day of the month, a reconciliation of the sales and generate sales statistics report.
  • Prepare and circulate the updated debtor’s statements periodically indicating receipts, prepayments and monthly staff debtor’s collection.
  • Prepare sales invoices, verify them share with clients without fail.
  • Share clients’ accounts statements periodically and follow up payments.
  • Prepare daily cash position report and circulate to C.E.O, CFO and any other party as directed.
  • Prepare Journal Vouchers for Bad Debts provisions and write-offs.
  • Maintain an updated filing records and procedures of the company.
  • Process staff payroll deductions, (flowers, telephone charges) and share with the Human Resource department for payroll processing.
  • Capture all miscellaneous invoices, staff sales, telephone bills and sale of plants and bud woods.
  • Receive, and sign-off the Invoice register, keeping it updated.
  • Prepare all invoices related to freight re-charges and product treatment costs to clients.
  • Prepare invoices for telephone charges to staff including ETR receipts.
  • Preparation of supporting documents to KRA including sales invoices, debit notes or credit notes.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Knowledge of financial management systems
  • Good communication and report writing skills
  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills.
  • 3 years relevant working experience.
  • Knowledge of the flower labels i.e.KFC, MPS, one carbon World will be an added advantage

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

The job holder must possess:

  • CPA II
  • Bachelors of Commerce (Accounting option)
