CLINIC OFFICER


A leading floriculture enterprise in Kiambu County is looking for a dynamic clinic officer to support the organization achieve its employee welfare strategy.

This position is responsible Provision of professional medical services to employees working on the farm

Reporting to: Senior CO in her absence to Human Resources Manager

Closely working with: HRO’S and Clinical officers and Supervisors and all staff

Major duties and responsibilities

  • Conducting patient’s medical evaluation, providing them with consultation and treatment services.
  • Responding to emergencies within the workplace.
  • Working with the team at your disposal to drive the business agenda in medical, health and safety matters.
  • Completing medical orders for prescription refills, administration of medications, ancillary testing, and/or referrals where need be.
  • Reviewing ancillary test results and coordinates notification to the patient.
  • Provides patient education as needed and supervising patient care in the clinic
  • Available to patients personally to answer questions and relay information regarding their care.
  • Completion of appropriate paperwork to comply with insurance and reimbursement guidelines.
  • Organizes for statutory medical tests including periodic cholinesterase tests as per HSE policy, legal and Company Doctors recommendations.
  • Completion of all documentation and paperwork within the set timelines
  • Responsible for Health & Safety within the organization and keeping a register of all accidents, incidents and near misses

Qualifications

  • Diploma in clinical medicine
  • Registration necessary: Valid License issued by Clinical Officers Council
  • Not less than 3 years in a busy clinic preferably in a horticulture/Agricultural set up
