Kenya Arts Diary
It has been ten years since the first Kenya Arts diary was published. The idea for the arts diary came from Nani Croze, the renowned glass artist and champion of contemporary Kenyan art. Nani put together a volunteer group of artist and art lovers who have continually assisted in the selection of art and artists that are featured in each edition.
Since its inception in 2011, the diary has been committed to showcasing up-and-coming young Kenyan artists and established artists as well. When the team embarked on producing the first Kenya Arts Diary, they knew that a wealth of artistic talent existed in Kenya. Since then, the diary has profiled and acted as a springboard for nearly 700 different artists, many of whom are now considered established professionals whose art is prized both among local and international collectors.
The 2020 edition reflects the rapid growth of the Kenya art scene, which is also visible in the proliferation of galleries that exhibit African Art.
Red Lands Roses has for some years supported the Kenya Arts Diary team through purchase of their customized diaries. We are proud to be associated with Kenya Arts Diary as a way of appreciating local art and contributing to the creative economy.
